NOTE. In case the selected applicants won’t be able to participate in all phases of the workshop, they will be excluded from participation and the placement will be postponed.

The 15 selected PhD students will meet in Turin on April 21 for a kick-off meeting with the experts – directors/filmmakers and tutors – who will run the workshop.

The kick-off meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sala Lauree Blu (Ground Floor – Pavilion D1), Campus Luigi Einaudi, via Lungo Dora Siena 104.

The meeting will allow the participants to get to know each other and form working groups; moreover, during the meeting the best project ideas will be selected from the proposals submitted with the applications and the projects on which the three final videos will focus will be chosen.

During the meeting, the activities will also be determined and logistical and organizational details of the workshop will be discussed.

The workshop will be divided into 3 days:

– Day 1: Storytelling

– Day 2: Shooting and video production

– Day 3: Editing

The scientific committee of the workshop congratulates the 15 PhD students who have been given the opportunity to participate in this training on the use of video as a medium to learn how to communicate scientific research to an unsophisticated audience.

A thank you also goes to all the PhD students who sent in their application. Unfortunately, many valuable projects could not be considered.
